Well, here I am, in beautiful British Columbia!

The flight was scary for me, at first, but a chance glance out the window from 38,000 feet washed away all my fears: The view was amazing...
When I left, it was cold and raining, with a storm surrounding us on three sides. But when we got above the clouds and I happened to glance out the window, it was as if we were looking down at a humongous glacier marked with crevasses and gullies, cut lines and gorges, rivers and streams, and even lakes with "waves" butting gently against shorelines. And above all of that was a powder-blue expanse so vast that you couldn't see where it began or ended. At 38,000 feet, you could actually see the curvature of the earth, and combined with the flat line of white that met the bottom of the blue... Well, it was just totally mind-blowing...

The weather here is a bit cool - compared to the weather at home, though, this is awesome - and the skies are gray. But I've already spent a good deal of time outside, this morning, and honestly, I have no complaints.

It's wonderful to sit outside with a hot, steaming cup of coffee and just listen to the birds; I can't wait until Roger and I can finally get out camping...

Shari is just getting up, so I'm going to sign off, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I got here okay, and that we're already having tons of fun. Shari has already peed her pants laughing at least twice, so I know I'm doing my job.

Anyway, folks, gotta scram - got lots to do today. Have a great day and a great week ahead - and Norm, if you see this, I could sure use your help today, if you have nothing on the go....
