What a day it's been today. Researching a site
Azodnem told me about in the last post, catching up with emails and notices from people both here and on other sites, dealing with a cranky and sick husband, supporting my friend Chris when he did his shows at blogstar earlier tonight, fighting depression... It's been a very long day indeed.
I keep having to remind myself that if things seem really quiet right now, it's not because people are deliberately avoiding me, it's because they're busy gearing up for the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, or they're sick, or their computers are having issues, or something. Experience has shown me that when people aren't coming around, there's generally a logical explanation, and usually, it has absolutely nothing to do with me.
I know that
Leah is really having a rough time with this, too, right now. She wrote a post about it earlier. I know that
Lady Wolfen Mists has been fighting depression, too, as well as other illness (flu or a cold - I can't recall which, right now), and unless I'm mistaken,
Hazel was really sick with swine flu, recently, and then her computer went kaboom on her and she only just got back online... It just seems like a lot of people are fighting depression, lately, and I'm not sure if it has something to do with the change of seasons, or if there's something else in the air that's making everyone so unhappy.
So, I have an idea that I'd like everyone to try out. I'd like everyone to visit the people below and say at least one nice thing to them. If you know them, then add something nice about them; if you don't, try to find at least one nice thing to say to them. These are people I've bookmarked, but feel free to add other people, too. The point is to reach out and spread some love.
